Undeclared milk has caused Tasty Bake, the wholesale bakery, to recall its range of branded cakes.
The recall affect products with a best before date of 29 May 2016 and, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), has been carried out as they pose a health risk to those with a milk allergy or intolerance. No later dated batches are affected.
The FSA advised customers: “If you have bought the above products and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where you bought it.”

- Coconut & Cherry Cake
- Dundee Cake – Almond Topped
- Dundee Cake – Cherry Topped
- Farmhouse Cake
- Genoa Cake
- Ginger Cake
- Lemon Cake
- Victoria Sponge Cake
- Walnut & Cream Cake
Tasty Bake is the brand name of The Nuts House Ltd. The company produces a range of high-quality British-style cake slabs which it claims are sold at farmers markets, market stalls and fetes as well as being available to local stores and supermarkets.
