Frozen food distributor Central Foods has secured AA accreditation in its latest British Retail Consortium (BRC) audit.
The company was also awarded the BRC Agents and Brokers certificate for the second year.
BRC Global Standards is a leading safety and quality certification programme, used by 25,000 certificated suppliers in more than 130 countries. The Standard for Agents and Brokers gives essential certification for companies that provide purchase, importation or product distribution services in the food and packaging supply chain.
“We are proud to have been awarded the BRC Agents and Brokers certificate once again,” said Central Foods managing director Gordon Lauder.
“It is great news that Central Foods has achieved the highest level of technical and operational recognition available from this prestigious QA body, reinforcing how we can confidently reassure our customers of our ability to deliver on all levels.”
The business, which is based at Collingtree near Northampton, supplies more than 220 independent wholesalers, as well as larger national and regional ones with a range of frozen foods. It also supplies to the foodservice industry. Baked goods in its range include pizzas, flatbreads and muffins.
