Gail’s Bakery has today (19 July) opened a new shop in Muswell Hill, London, serving freshly baked loaves, cakes and lunches.
Located at 70 Fortis Green Road in north London, the bakery offers more than 30 types of bread, including Gail’s French Dark Sourdough, baguettes, rye loaves and fruit breads. Breakfast is also served until 3pm every day, while pastries, sandwiches, cakes and salads are available throughout the day.
Gail’s is also looking to team up with a charitable organisation that can collect surplus food from the new site at the end of the day, and has put several calls out on social media.
Earlier this year, the company teamed up with eco pop-up Canteen No.4 at Gail’s Fitzrovia, London site to host a dinner featuring a four-course menu made entirely from surplus food.
The company – which has a number of sites in London as well as in Oxford, Brighton and St Albans – recently celebrated its 13th anniversary.
