Greggs has unveiled a sausage roll sidecar to celebrate its launch on Just Eat.
The partnership is currently live in nine shops in London, Newcastle and Glasgow, which Greggs said would serve more than one million households across the three cities.
A team of designers took two weeks to customise the bespoke Triumph Bonneville, which features a six-foot golden pastry-look sidecar in tribute to Greggs’ sausage roll. Greggs said it was inspired by the pushbike that founder John Gregg used in the 1930s to deliver his baked goods.
The custom delivery bike will be on tour over the next three days, covering more than 400 miles and visiting London, Newcastle and Glasgow. It is currently accompanied by TV presenter Joe Swash.
Fans will be able to take a snap of themselves in the sidecar and enjoy free sausage rolls and vegan sausage rolls as it visits Glasgow, Buchanan Street on 5 July and Newcastle, Northumberland Street on 6 July.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Just Eat to make it even easier for our customers to enjoy their breakfast and lunch menu favourites,” said Hannah Squirrell, customer and marketing director at Greggs.
“From bacon rolls and coffees to our range of bakes, sandwiches and wraps, we’ll be able to go direct to the doorsteps of more than a million hungry households.”
