Muffin Break is to focus its store openings on the Midlands and South of England next year.
The company’s estates head, Joshua Nixon, confirmed the plans for the retail bakery chain as it prepared to unveil its 11th outlet of the year in Bexleyheath, Kent tomorrow (Thursday 29 November).
The 70-cover store, which will create 15 full- and part-time jobs, will give away golden tickets – which can be exchanged for free coffees and muffins among other prizes – to the first 25 customers through the door.
“We are excited to open our final Muffin Break site of 2018 in Bexleyheath – concluding a strong year of new store growth,” Nixon said ahead of the opening of the premises.
“Our beautifully designed café bakeries have been well received by customers and landlords alike and we are looking forward to continue baking the success of 2018 into 2019 and beyond.
“Despite the regular uncertain media reports on UK retail, we are continuing to unlock towns and cities across the UK, securing competitive deals with landlords across the board and operating successful stores.”
He added that the brand’s 2019 expansion strategy would be focused on the Midlands and the south of England, as well as major shopping centres across the UK.
Muffin Break sells freshly baked muffins, cakes and cookies, alongside various savoury options including soups, sandwiches and wraps. It also stocks a variety of special blend coffees made from 100% Arabica beans.
