Warrens Bakery has teamed up with SSP Group to open a new store at Gatwick Airport.
Opening in the North Terminal, the site spans 300 sq metres and will have space for 138 covers.
It will serve Warrens’ range of Cornish pasties, as well as options for a variety of daytimes, including breakfast baps, sandwiches, pastries and Belgian buns.
The opening is in partnership with SSP Group, which operates food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide.
The new staff have been trained at Warrens Bakery’s Centre of Excellence and have gained experience at Warrens’ existing retail stores, ready for the opening this month.
“We are delighted to partner with SSP and launch a large café at Gatwick, one of Europe’s leading airports,” said Mark Sullivan, chairman at Warrens Bakery.
“Our iconic British brand lends itself ideally to this location, offering customers quality food at affordable prices, as well as in-store theatre, based on our 1860 heritage.
“Customers can opt for a full meal, dip in for coffee and a treat, or simply grab and go for the flight.”
