Danish bakery Ole & Steen has revealed its future expansion plans – including its first UK site outside London.
Opening in March 2018, the store will be located in a new shopping centre in Oxford, as revealed in an exclusive interview with Ole & Steen UK operations director Ally Gordon.
As well as its Oxford site, the business has two London-based sites, on Wigmore Street and High Street Kensington, opening at the start of next year.
Gordon talks to British Baker about Ole & Steen’s journey to the UK following its first opening in St James’ Market ten months ago, and the acquisition of its owner Lagkagehuset by private equity firm Nordic Capital in the summer.
