Dr Oetker Professional has become a member of the Soil Association’s Food for Life Supplier scheme.
The scheme is designed to help caterers put sustainable meals on its menu and meet the ‘Food for Life Served Here’ standards by ensuring they do not contain food additives, hydrogenated fats or GM ingredients.
Dr Oetker’s Chicago Town Balanced Choice Pizza, Raw Dough Pizza Base and Wellcare Mixes have been recognised to meet the Food for Life Served Here standards.
The Balanced Choice pizza was developed by Dr Oetker Professional for schools in 2015 and is supported by the School Food Plan by keeping fat and saturated fat levels to a minimum.
“Over 1.7 million Food for Life Served Here meals are cooked up every weekday around the UK,” said Dr Oetker Professional’s senior brand manager Emma Haworth. “To be recognised by the Soil Association and become an official supplier of this hugely important scheme means a great deal to the team.”
