Seasonings supplier The Dalesman Group has unveiled three new vegan sausage roll mixes.
The firm’s soya-based mixes are available in three new flavours: Apple & Sage, Hot ‘n’ Spicy and Smokey, alongside the original Dalesman Vegan No Sausage Roll with onion, herb and black and white pepper.
Demand for vegan produce had been growing at an astonishing pace, said founder and director Ian Rhodes.
“We are working tirelessly to provide consistent and high-quality flavour and innovation of products, not only for the sake of providing a better culinary experience for the vegan and vegetarian consumer, but also to capture the attention of other modern lifestyle approaches to diet.”
Meat-free doesn’t mean without flavour, said the supplier, adding the future of the food industry was an all-inclusive one.
“Traditionally we have been seen as a sausage seasoning company, but flavour and innovation is at the heart of what The Dalesman Group provides,” added Rhodes. “We have a full NPD portfolio of flavours and functional products for bakery, butchery, vegan – you name it and we have done it.”
“With these new listed products, we are giving our customers old and new the opportunity to enter the plant-based market with ease.”
The mixes are easy to use, said the company, requiring users to add two parts water to one-part mix.
