Food ingredients supplier EHL Ingredients is offering bakers new festive organic ingredient blends and stuffing mixes.

It has developed a Middle Eastern-styled stuffing containing a mix of sultanas, breadcrumbs, citrus lemon with fennel, coriander, ginger and black pepper;  while a Mediterranean-styled stuffing contains breadcrumbs, garlic, tomato, spices, fennel, cumin, black pepper, parsley and oregano.

Christine Peers, sales director at EHL Ingredients, said the range was created to meet customer demand for innovative additions to traditional Christmas recipes.

“We launched our first range of organic blends last year and, since then, we’ve had an influx of requests for new international blends and stuffing mixes, she said.

“British consumers are always looking for the next big food trend, especially around Christmas, and our spices are perfect for many types of bakery items and Christmas-themed dishes and accompaniments.”

With the demand from UK consumers for more exotic flavour combinations, bakers can create festive foods by using the blends as accompaniments to spice up traditional dishes or in dry format for stuffing mixtures and balls.
