Flavourings supplier Givaudan has announced a partnership with chemicals and food ingredients distributor IMCD.
Givaudan said the agreement would give IMCD customers in the UK and Western Europe access to Givaudan’s flavours and experience that would help them solve taste, health and efficiency challenges for products including savoury and sweet foods, dairy goods and beverages.
“Customers will be able to choose from a range of inspiring Givaudan flavours and taste tools, which have been carefully selected by teams from both IMCD and Givaudan as the most successful and commercially competitive solutions for the UK market,” said Bas Zecha, Givaudan marketing director for Western Europe.
“IMCD’s dedicated and specialised flavours team will advise customers on the best solutions from this collection to meet their specific needs and optimise products for the UK market.”
The distribution agreement would not affect Givaudan’s existing UK customer relationships, the company said.
Kevin Robinson, Givaudan commercial head for Western Europe, added that the partnership would enable Givaudan to reach a new customer base of small to medium-sized businesses.
Fergus Johnson, IMCD’s business group director, food and nutrition, EMEA, added: “Our exclusive distribution partnership with Givaudan brings together complementary expertise from both companies to give our customers an enhanced range of services and solutions.”
