Three biscuit manufacturers have been shortlisted for the Food and Drink Federation’s (FDF) Community Partnership Awards (CPA).

Border Biscuits, Burton’s Biscuit Company and United Biscuits join a host of other shortlisted business, including William Jackson Food Group and Unilever.

The CPAs recognise businesses’ contribution and dedication to initiatives that make a positive difference – be it in their local community via contributions to local schools and hospitals, or to the natural environment via waste reduction schemes and other environmental initiatives.

This year a number of new categories have been added, such as Export Success of the Year, Growing Business of the Year and Developing Skills for the Future.

These join its existing categories of Apprentice of the Year, Education, Environment, Good Employer, Health and Wellbeing and Local Community.

The winners will be announced at a luncheon at the Globe Theatre, London, on Wednesday 24 October.
