London artisan bakery The Bread Factory revealed its new fleet of electric delivery vans at its base in Hendon yesterday (Monday 30 April).
The firm, which supplies a number of high-end restaurants, hotels and contract caterers, makes over 900 daily deliveries across London.
It said the new zero-emission vans would reduce the bakery’s carbon footprint and impact on the environment.
Dean Arbel, managing director of The Bread Factory, said: “We’re passionate about making a difference in what we do and this new delivery method supports our other green initiatives. These include using free-range eggs throughout the business, sourcing locally wherever possible and an ambitious recycling programme.
He added: “As well as helping us become more environmentally friendly, these great new vans, with our branding featured prominently on them, will be a moving canvas promoting us throughout London.”
