Burton’s Biscuit Company has signed a five-year deal with logistics expert DHL Supply Chain.
The manufacturer of Jammie Dodgers and Maryland Cookies has agreed the new partnership in a bid to support its international and domestic growth.
DHL will assist the St Albans-based biscuit company from its new consolidated warehouse in Liverpool. Burton’s has recently invested around £12.5m in production, warehousing and logistics.
Neil Grocock, chief supply chain officer at Burton’s Biscuit Company, told motortransport.co.uk: “Investing in our core logistic capabilities is part of a broader, brand-focused strategy we’ve adopted, which enables us to align our skills, resources and efforts towards more impactful results.”
