Pecan Deluxe Candy, the European inclusions specialist, has invested in new premises and is celebrating new certifications.
The new buildings are not far from the company’s Leeds factory. It said they were “closer to primary access routes and with much improved potential for expansion”.
Graham Kingston, managing director of Pecan Deluxe, said: “Our investment in new offices enables us to underpin that reputation with impressive new development kitchens, equipped with the very latest technology – and, of course, manned by some of the best product technologists in the industry.
“Freeing up space within the production facility will allow us to develop the operational structure to support ongoing product development – it’s a win-win all round.”
Pecan Deluxe is also celebrating two new certifications – the company has been assessed and accredited under the stringent RSPO Principles & Criteria for Sustainable Palm Oil Production by accredited Certifying Bodies, and it has also become a UTZ-certified supplier. (UTZ certification supports sustainable farming, helping farmers to implement good agricultural practices).
Kingston added: “We’re very proud of the standards that Pecan Deluxe has attained in quality management and safety systems, supporting our ongoing programme of product development and innovation that helps our customers to meet or exceed their own goals of consumer satisfaction.”
Pecan Deluxe is now one of the biggest European suppliers of cookie dough pieces, which feature in many household-name premium ice creams, as well as fast food and gastropub desserts.
