The Southern Co-operative is looking to open additional Starbucks stores this year.
A spokesperson for the Southern Co-operative said that at present, further stores are currently being piloted, but that there was no commitment on numbers yet.
The group opened its first Starbucks store as a franchisee partner in July last year, located on London Road in Southampton. In November 2013, The Southern Co-operative opened its second Starbucks store on Avon Street in Bath.
According to the coffee chain, Starbucks adds to The Southern Co-operative’s portfolio of over 180 stores in the south of England.
Jane Coleman, franchising director, Starbucks UK, said: “Our franchise offer gives local companies throughout the UK the opportunity to bring their own expertise and experience to our business. We are proud to partner with The Southern Co-operative, which shares our values and commitment to our customers and the community.”
