United Biscuits reveals environmental progress
United Biscuits (UB) has claimed 2011 was its most environmentally friendly year. According to the company, it sent no waste to landfill from its manufacturing sites during 2011, reduced water usage by up to 12%, and reduced carbon emissions by 6%, meeting its self-imposed sustainability targets.
