Around 4,300 employees at Warburtons are set to benefit from a new employee discount programme.
The Bolton bread manufacturer has launched its Extra Dough scheme to help staff based at its 26 different bakery and depot locations across the UK, to save some money on shopping.
Supplied by staff discounts provider Asperity Employee Benefits, the programme will enable staff to make the most of around 3,000 offers on brands such as Marks & Spencer, Amazon.co.uk, Debenhams and House of Fraser.
Ann Williamson, group reward manager for Warburtons, said: “Everyone was really excited about the new discounts programme and we have had over 1,200 registrations in the first four weeks. Asperity was really flexible about how we wanted to launch, and helped us tailor all our comms to reflect our corporate guidelines while creating the Extra Dough brand for us.”
Warburtons’ staff have spent more than £90,000 in the first four weeks of the scheme, which was launched through a teaser campaign nominating ‘site champions’ at each location to trial the programme in advance.
Warburtons is expecting to expand the scheme further by creating a blog or forum area for employees to discuss their deals, as well as the potential for social media to run alongside the programme in order to drive further engagement.
