Food-to-go business Adelie Foods has named Gary Pothecary as commercial controller for its convenience team.
Pothecary brings 25 years’ experience to the Adelie Foods commercial team, which the chain said would strengthen its capabilities in the sector and enhance its customer service.
“In the convenience and forecourt sector, food-to-go is incredibly fragmented, with local unbranded sandwich offerings not resonating with the needs of today’s consumer,” said Pothecary. “I know retailers think there is a lack of consistency and this is where I see an opportunity for Adelie Foods to drive forward higher quality and consistency of service.”
Martin Johnson, CEO of Adelie Foods, said the company was confident the appointment would help it achieve its ambitious growth plans.
“We’ve made some great progress so far towards our vision of being the preferred choice in food-to-go, delighting our customers and consumers with the perfect mix of quality, innovation, value and service, but we’re yet to reach our full potential.”
