Cargill has appointed a new managing director of chocolate for its Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEA) cocoa and chocolate business.
Inge Demeyere, who joined the business in 2009, has now filled the role as managing director of chocolate.
She described it as an ‘exciting time’ to be overseeing chocolate.
Demeyere said: “This is an exciting time to become the new managing director, chocolate, because not only are we experiencing strong cocoa, sugar and dairy market volatility, but at the same time we are also growing the business, by expanding our facilities in Rouen, Berlin and Mouscron. I look forward to taking on this role, to working to develop an even deeper knowledge of our customers’ needs so we can add even more value and innovation.”
Jos de Loor, president of Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate said: “Inge brings to her new role a broad knowledge of the cocoa and chocolate business, with her experience in supply chain, pricing and risk management. This knowledge, allied to our R&D expertise, will meet our customers’ need to differentiate their products and make them stand out from the crowd.”
