Ingredients supplier Edme has named Gary McIlwaine as its production manager.
McIlwaine, who joined the business 15 years ago as a production operative, will head up a 35-strong production team. His role will be to ensure operations of the company’s mill, mixing plant, flaking plant and cereal in-take run smoothly.
“Gary McIlwaine has spent many years working hard, being eager to learn and willing to take responsibility - huge congratulations,” said Edme operations and technical director Metin Fevzi.
McIlwaine said his team would aim to develop the culture of the firm to support customers further.
“There’s a positive work ethos at Edme, with people supporting each other to get jobs done and meet targets,” he said.
“When you’re working with food, consistency, quality and safety are of the utmost concern. Everything has to be done to the highest standards. Thankfully, we have a fantastic team, and although my role has changed, I’ll be working with the same great people I know. I can’t wait to see what we achieve.”
