UK baking giant Hovis hosted a tea party for local families at a community centre in Beckton, East London this week.
More than 120 families sat down to enjoy food, drink and entertainment as part of the company’s commitment to maintain a strong community feel.
The business has operated a bakery in nearby Forest Gate since 1904.
Organiser Ruksana Patel and site director Duncan Crawford put together the event, who also invited the centre’s disabled classes and youngsters from a local primary school.
Patel said: “The community turned out in large numbers to enjoy and take part in the entertainment.”
She added: “Hovis had received positive feedback from those who attended.”
In July, Hovis added a new premium Farmhouse range to its portfolio.
