The catering equipment distributors’ association (CEDA) has appointed its first director-general in order to grow the organisation.
Adam Mason, who has previously worked at the Association of British Furniture Manufacturers, will fill the role.
He said: “I am delighted to take up this new post with CEDA and I look forward to adding real value to the association, the membership and the wider Industry.
“Specifically, we are looking to grow the membership, develop an outstanding package of services and reach a level of recognition within the foodservice industry that every stakeholder in commercial kitchen designs and procurement insists that it uses a CEDA member company.
Jack Sharkey, CEDA chairman, said: “Adam has been at the helm of a large trade association representing the membership and industry to UK government and the EU.
“He has developed effective strategies for membership recruitment and retention, international trade, events, exhibitions, PR, marketing, advertising and membership services.”
