Real Good Food has appointed a new managing director for its Rainbow Dust Colour business. 

David Grieve starts at the specialist supplier of cake decorating products company this month and has more than 25 years’ experience in sugarcraft, bakery and cake decoration markets.

He was previously a marketing manager at BFP Wholesale and has held a number of sales and marketing roles within Renshaw. most recently as its head of sugarcraft sales channel.

Pieter Totté, chairman, said: “We are lucky to have someone within our business with the experience and knowledge that David has of this market sector and I am sure he can use this to drive forward the Rainbow Dust Colours business.”

Grieve addded “I am delighted to be given this opportunity. I believe that there are big opportunities for Rainbow Dust Colours and Renshaw to work together and bring a powerful offering to the sugarcraft sector.”

Real Good Food is a diversified food business with retail, manufacturing, wholesale, foodservice and export businesses. It last month sold its sugar distribution business Napier Brown for £34m to Tereos, the world’s fifth-largest sugar group.

It acquired Rainbow Dust Colour in January this year for £4m.
