Cheshire-based Roberts Bakery sponsored the food halls at the Royal Cheshire County Show this month, and used the opportunity to present an educational programme.
The family-owned bakery sponsored the Roberts Bakery Food Halls for the 11th consecutive year.
The halls at the 300-acre showground at Tabley, near Knutsford, accommodated more than 90 producers and purveyors during the two-day event. Each took a stand to showcase their fine foods and drinks to the 75,000 visitors, traders and exhibitors.
The Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre programme saw Karol Roberts, last year’s show patron, showcase how to make the ultimate burger with Roberts’ Ultimate Brioche Rolls.
She was joined on stage by a number of well-known local and celebrity chefs, who entertained the crowds while talking about regional talent and produce.
The Roberts Bakery Baking Education Stand gave showgoers the opportunity to learn more about bread and baking while supporting the great amount of educational work already undertaken by the bakery within the community.
Mike Roberts, deputy chairman of Roberts Bakery, said: “It’s one of the many community engagements, environmental and educational programmes that we undertake within our heartland.”
This month Roberts was recognised in the 2016 North West Responsible Business Awards, run by Business in the Community (BITC).
