Pie restaurant chain Square Pie has been nominated for an Evening Standard Business Award.
The London-based company has been nominated in the SME Business of the Year category at the inaugural Evening Standard Business Awards. The winner will be announced at a London ceremony on 30 June.
Martin Dewey, Square Pie’s founder, said: “We’ve been serving London fantastic food since starting on a market stall in 2001, so it’s fantastic to be recognised.”
He went on to say that 2016 has been “a great year” for the company so far, and added: “Sales are up 35% so far on last year, our gluten-free pie range launched into restaurants, there are lots of exciting NPDs in the pipeline, and our growing wholesale business with our frozen bake-at-home range is now in over 400 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.”
