Bakers from all over the country will be flocking to Bolton next Sunday, 14 October, for Bakers’ Fair. This one-day event brings together specialist bakery exhibitors, millers, ingredients manufacturers, machinery suppliers, wholesalers and drinks companies, and is a great opportunity to gauge the latest innovations and services on the market.

A number of prizes will be up for grabs for visitors at the event. Attendees can enter a competition on the day, sponsored by Coca-Cola, to win a prize of £1,000 worth of vouchers. And every visitor who brings a copy of the 5 October issue of British Baker to Coca-Cola’s stand - where the drinks firm will be showing a case study of Coca-Cola supplying Sparks Bakery in Bradford - will receive a free bottle of 500ml Coke.

What’s more, we are giving away 10 LCD TVs to people who get to the show early. And the Richemont Club of Great Britain, which has a membership of top craft bakers and confectioners, will be hosting live competitions throughout the day.

Some of the UK’s finest bakers and confectioners will test their skills across 20 categories, ranging from fresh creams to Christmas novelties. There will also be new British Baker-sponsored competition classes for young bakers. n
