Bath Cake Company is offering customers an expanded range of sugarcraft and cake decorating supplies, following the recent expansion of its bakery.

Celia Adams, owner, said the business had taken over an adjacent unit to its bakery on Lansdown Mews, Bath, and has expanded its shop area.

Adams said that, at present, Bath was a very limited marketplace for sugarcraft supplies, with locals often having to travel far and wide to source supplies.

The shop sells everything from edible glues to sugarpaste and cutters. Adams said it was stocked with many small items, which are offputting for people to order over the internet, due to huge postage and packaging charges in comparison to the item.

She is also offering a service whereby the business will aim to source products requested by customers, that it does not currently stock.

Bath Cake Company was established by Adams in 2010. In August last year, the business acquired past National Cupcake Competition award winner Country Cupcakes. Although Adams is running the two businesses from the same location, they are both trading a separate companies, due to Country Cupcakes’ existing presence in the market, she said.
