Creators of ITV’s Britain’s Best Bakery are once again on the hunt for bakery businesses to take part in the second series of the television show.

Shine TV is inviting bakery businesses from the UK to apply for the next series, which will see the return of judges Mich Turner, owner of London-based Little Venice Cake Company, as well as TV chef and cookery writer Peter Sidwell.

Successful applicants will take part in the competition, which will be broadcast daily throughout a six-week period, and will compete in a series of technical bakery challenges.

The first series was won by Hambleton Bakery in Exton, with bakers Julian Carter and Scott Kenny taking part in the show.

During the first series of Britain’s Best Bakery, 14.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the show last November.
