Tune in to BBC4 at 9pm tonight (Thursday, 25 March) to catch British Baker columnist Tom Herbert, who will be fronting a programme based on his search to create a prize-winning organic loaf.
Titled ‘In Search of the Perfect Loaf’, it will follow the 32-year-old baker’s quest to bake a bread worthy of winning the National Organic Food Awards, and will air at 9pm. The 60-minute episode will also become viewable on BBC iPlayer the following day.
Herbert is director of Cirencester-based Hobbs House Bakery, which is reigning champion at the Baking Industry Awards, having scooped Artisanal Bread Product of the Year at the event in September 2009.
BBC4’s Time Shift series also features a history of bread this week, titled ’Bread: a loaf affair’. It will be available on iPlayer until 31 March (click on links below).
