The Co-operative Group re-launched its range of sandwiches this week after cleaning up its ingredients’ list.

The new-look 24-strong sandwich range is priced between £1.20 and £2.50, with options including chicken & bacon caesar wrap and salmon and cucumber twin-pack sandwich. The new range contains mayonnaise, made using free-range eggs, and all "unnecessary" additives have been removed.

Range improvements also include a switch to softgrain bread on the deep-filled cheese Ploughman’s sandwich, and more chicken added in the chicken triple sandwich. All of the sandwiches will now feature the new Co-operative branding.

The Co-operative range includes Cheese Ploughman’s Deep Fill Sandwich, Free Range Egg & Cress Twin Pack Sandwich, BLT/Prawn/Chicken Salad Triple Sandwich, Aromatic Duck Wrap and Chicken Fajita Wrap.
