The first Coffee Republic franchise in a foreign airport has opened its doors.

The site at Lanzarote Airport will be followed by a second franchise due to open in Vilnius Airport, Lithuania very soon.

There are now around 12 franchises abroad, with more opening in the UK as well.

“Franchises due to be opening in the UK are dependent on development plans,” said a spokesman for Coffee Republic.

Franchised sites are chosen by the franchisees, who then approach the company with their plans.

There are now more than 300 locations covered by Coffee Republic, including 27 coffee bars, 218 concessions and 60 Coffee Republic To Go machines.

International reach includes Ireland, Jersey, Jordan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
