Thousands of bakery shops and cafés across the country have temporarily closed their doors in the face of the coronavirus outbreak.

But while the shutters have fallen on many businesses, others have continued trading or adapted their operation to offer deliveries or a click & collect services.

Some, such as Bayne’s in Scotland, closed initially but have since found a way of reopening some of their shops.

British Baker will keep track of the current trading position of the country’s leading bakery and café chains. If you have news of any of these, then let us know.
