Ocean Spray’s ingredient technology group is to launch a new sweetened dried cranberry (SDC) the Whole SDC at the Fi Europe show in Germany this November. It has been developed in response to a demand from snack and confectionery manufacturers for larger fruit piece sizes.
"One of the key benefits of our SDC range is its versatility. We have a range of moisture contents and sizes, from sliced for larger bakery applications to double-diced for cereal bars, for example, so we’re pleased to be able to complete the offering with the Whole SDC," commented Kristen Borsari, global senior marketing manager.
