Today is the last day for bakers to submit entries into the National Cupcake Championships.

Our annual competition, now in its fifth year, promises to be even bigger and better in 2013, with the live judging to take place at Cake International in Birmingham for the first time.

Past winners have received a great deal of publicity, which has seen their sales boosted as a result.

There are four categories available to enter – Classic, Free-from, Made With Alcohol and Themed. All you have to do is submit a recipe and pictures of your cupcakes with a short description of your business. You can enter a maximum of one cupcake per category - so a maximum of four entries in total.

All finalists will receive a free pass to the show on Saturday 9 November, so they can drop off their cakes for judging and then enjoy the show during the day.

The cupcakes will be put through their paces by a panel of professional judges, before we go on to announce all the category winners and crown an overall National Cupcake Champion on the day.

To enter visit www.nationalcupcakeweek.co.uk or call Rebecca George on 01293 610422 or email rebecca.george@wrbm.com.

Entry deadline: Friday, 19 July 2013.
