Today marks one month to go in the countdown to the National Cupcake Championships entry deadline - have you got yours in yet?

Everybody loves a cupcake and this competition, with its final in National Cupcake Week (14 to 20 September) itself, aims to celebrate all that is great about this little baked treat.

The new-look Championships invite professional bakers nationwide to prove their skills and take the accolade this year. With the refresh come three new categories, but we haven’t got rid of the old favourites either. Bakers can enter as many categories as they want out of the following:

  • Classic
  • Made with Chocolate - NEW
  • Free From
  • Made with Alcohol
  • Seasonal - NEW
  • Children’s - NEW

Entries must be in by 17 July – visit our dedicated website for all the details as well as the all-important entry forms. Winners will be announced at the end of August with the big showdown final on 14 September, hosted by Bakels in Bicester.

You must have a registered UK business to be eligible for entry and entries cost £15+VAT each. For more information on entering, the categories and why you should get involved, visit our Championships tab.

The awards are sponsored by Barry Callebaut and Hello and... and hosted by Bakels.
