Burger King has opened its first standalone UK dessert bar, following the initial launch of the concept in Benidorm, Spain earlier this year.
The outlet in London’s Westfield Shopping Centre is the second of its kind in Europe, and will offer a specialised menu, featuring existing products, including BK Fusions ice creams and mini pancakes, alongside new additions, such as brownies, blondies, cakes, cookies and muffins.
A spokesperson for Burger King said as it was only the first UK outlet, it was too early to make a decision as to a target number of outlets in the UK, but added: "We’ll be watching closely to see whether this concept can be rolled out to the high street." She said the outlet was designed to appeal to both new and existing customers.
