UK craft bakers are being encouraged to enter an Easter-themed competition at this year’s Bakery@Foodex exhibition.

In partnership with the National Association of Master Bakers, the free-to-enter competition will take place on the Sunday (25 March) as one of Bakery@Foodex’s live events at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. It will feature four categories in which craft bakers can enter, including four hot cross buns, four Easter fancies, a single-tier Easter celebration cake and a simnel cake.

The prize on offer to each individual category winning entries will be an artisan bread training day at Brook Bakery School, digital scales courtesy of Brook Food Processing Equipment and £250.

Bakery@Foodex, which runs from 25-27 March, showcases the latest innovations, products and services from more than 190 exhibitors operating in the sector. As part of the wider Foodex show, it takes place at the NEC Birmingham in Halls 19 and 20. For further information, visit www.foodex.co.uk/bakery.
