Hummingbird Bakery will bake 5,000 cupcakes that will be distributed by Deliveroo across London to mark the online delivery service’s fifth anniversary.
Teal velvet cupcakes, baked by Hummingbird Bakery, will be offered to consumers by Deliveroo riders free of charge across Chelsea, King’s Cross, Liverpool Street, Waterloo and Soho Square from tomorrow (23 February).
Deliveroo made its first delivery in Chelsea five years ago and the company has since gone on to deliver millions of meals across the globe.
“Deliveroo customers love amazing food whether it’s a gourmet burger, protein packed salad or crispy duck packed into a bao bun, so as part of our 5th birthday celebrations we’re giving away thousands of teal cupcakes to Londoners,” said Deliveroo CEO Will Shu.
Deliveroo recently launched the Treat Yo-Self bakery serving “premium versions of Great British classics” and wagyu beef steak bakes.
