Crosstown Doughnuts is partnering with bourbon brand Maker’s Mark to launch a limited-edition doughnut.
The duo have created the Maker’s Mark Bourbon & Butterscotch doughnut, which Maker’s Mark said had been designed to “expertly complement” the caramel and vanilla flavours in the bourbon.
The doughnut features Crosstown’s black cocoa sourdough filled with a Maker’s Mark bourbon custard. It is topped with a sweet butterscotch glaze, a red chocolate cross and a nut crumble containing ‘red winter wheat’ – an ingredient used in Marker’s Mark to replace traditionally used rye.
It will be available to buy at Crosstown Doughnut stores from 27 September to 30 October as a full-sized doughnut and a mini Doughbite
It will also be sold from a cocktail-meets-doughnut van at London Cocktail Week on Brick Lane, London, from 10-13 October.
