Genius Foods founder Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne has been awarded with an ‘Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year’ accolade by the Entrepreneurial Exchange organisation.

She collected the gong at an awards ceremony in Glasgow on 25 November, in recognition for her work creating the gluten-free bread brand Genius.

“It’s a real honour to win this award. We’ve worked extremely hard to deliver a top-quality product that consumers with gluten intolerances can enjoy,” said Bruce-Gardyne.

“I’m extremely proud of the whole team at Genius, who are all just as passionate about the business as I am. This is a great way to round off what has been an amazing year.”

The Entrepreneurial Exchange currently has around 430 members, heading up companies employing more than 290,000 people and with a collective turnover of over £23bn.
