Greenhalgh’s, the wholesale bakery, has won Bakery of the Year at The Food Awards England 2015.
The Food Awards England is in its second year and celebrates the best in English food hospitality. Prizes were given for 26 categories this year, including Best Street Food, Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year and Frozen Food Provider of the Year.
Greenhalgh’s, which also runs a chain of 62 retail outlets in the north-west of England, won at the event, held on 8 November at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester. It beat off competition from bakeries across the country including John Dwyer in Rugby and Nottingham’s Butt Food.
