== Malted inclusion ==
Muntons Malted Ingredients can now be included on product labels as part of the total whole grain percentage, after The Whole Grain Council in Boston, Massachusetts, determined they can be offered as wholegrain products. The range includes Muntons white malt flours, malted cereal flakes and its range of kibbled malts.
== Gails lists with Ocado ==
Artisan bakery and café Gails is to see a selection of its breads listed on Ocado.com. The firm, which has three London-based bakeries and a listing in a number of London Waitrose stores, will have nine of its loaves online, expanding their availability across the UK. Among these are: Poppy Seed Bloomers; Stone-ground Wholemeal; Spelt & Sunflower, a sweet honey-bread and its signature Potato & Rosemary Sourdough.
== Award for Brakes ==
The ICAEW Corporate Responsibility Award has been won by the Brakes Group, at this year’s National Business Awards. The judges said they were impressed with its policies and achievements in minimising the impact the business has on the environment, from reducing food miles and responsible sourcing, to reducing its carbon footprint and supporting local communities.
== Move on asthma ==
Sainsbury’s has signed Asthma UK’s improved workplace charter. Chief executive of Asthma UK Neil Churchill and Lord McKenzie, Minister at the Department for Work & Pensions, joined Neil Lennox, group head of occupational health and safety at Sainsbury’s in one of its in-store bakeries to establish how training procedures and equipment are helping to minimise asthma risks associated with flour dust in its stores throughout the UK.
