Best of Both boost

Hovis has relaunched its Best of Both brand along with two additional lines, Best of Both Seeds (800g) and Best of Both Little One (400g). The launch will be supported by a campaign sponsoring a new prime-time Sunday night ITV quiz show, called Holding out for a Hero.

Knead’s new listings

Allergy-friendly baking company Knead’s products will now be available online at, and in-store at boutique café Napket, in Mayfair. Its gluten-, dairy- and sugar-free mini lemon and poppyseed muffins, mini blueberry muffins, chocolate brownies and carrot cake, will be available in Napket’s Vigo Street and Piccadilly outlets from this month.

Gluten-free relaunch

Free-from food brand DS-gluten free has reformulated its frozen pastry range. The firm said it had used UK consumers to blind taste-test its chicken and mushroom pies, sausage rolls, Cornish-style slices and shortcrust pastry in the run-up to the relaunch this month, with positive results.

Agency worker rules

New Agency Workers Regulations are to come into force on 1 October 2011, across the UK. Under the new rules, temporary agency workers will be eligible for equal treatment after 12 weeks of working on an assignment.
