Scottish bakery ingredients manufacturer Ingram Brothers is moving to a purpose-built factory in Paisley close to Glasgow Airport.

The 43,000sq ft facility will be operational from 7 January 2008. It was designed to incorporate the latest technology in a highly efficient and food-safe environment, said the company.

It will also enable the production of a wider range of bakery ingredients than Ingram’s existing premises in Glasgow.

Ingram Brothers was founded in 1895 as a syrup and treacle refiner. It remains a family-owned business, now headed by George Ingram’s great grandsons, supplying ingredients such as nuts, fruit fillings and glazes.
