BFree has achieved kosher certification for its range of free-from bakery products, which will now feature the official logo on-pack.
The Irish brand, which offers nut-, dairy-, egg-, wheat- and gluten-free products, has also just picked up a listing in the US, as well as in Gourmet Burger Kitchen in the UK, where its BFree burger buns will feature in all 60 outlets.
Alex Murphy, general manager of BFree, said: “We are really excited with our recent expansion plans in both entering new global markets and being part of the Gourmet Burger Kitchen, but also through new product developments such as bagels and burger buns.
“Gaining certification as kosher is also an important move for us; as a free-from brand we understand the importance of transparency within food packaging and the specific limitations that control many people’s diets. Our kosher certification will allow the global Jewish community to enjoy our products with assurance.”
Established in 2011, the business secured its “first significant retail listing” in the UK, launching in 434 Asda stores in April this year.
Set up by Ronan McNamee, the founder of Cuisine de France, the brand is also present in major multiples in Ireland, including Dunnes Stores, Tesco and Musgrave.
