Channel 4 will be airing a second TV series of Baking Mad with Eric Lanlard in March.

The professional patissier and owner of south-west London cake emporium Cake Boy, will star in 20 weekday episodes, demonstrating his tricks of the trade.

Each 40-minute show will feature quick-bake recipes in order to achieve delicious cakes and pastries in minutes, in addition to dessert bakes with the wow factor in his home kitchen.

In addition, Lanlard will score three members of baking clubs from across the UK in his cooking school kitchen as they go head-to-head in a ‘bake off’, with the winner joining him in the show for a one-on-one master baking class.

Speaking about the series, Lanlard said: “I am so pleased to be back with a brand new series of Baking Mad – the whole country has gone crazy for baking. It’s my profession and my passion and I want everyone to join me and surprise themselves.”

Lanlard, who initially trained in France, moved to London where he ran the patisserie business for Albert and Michel Roux Snr for five years before launching his own business, where his clientele have included Madonna and the Beckhams.

Baking Mad with Eric Lanlard is sponsored by Bakingmad.com and will air this March (date TBC) on Channel 4 at 12.05pm.
