Handmade slices up market
Handmade Cake Co has launched a few new products for Christmas. Tiffin slices with cranberry, white chocolate tiffin slices with cranberries, cherries and nuts, and apple & mincemeat slices will all be available for the winter. A new whole fruit cake has also been launched, and is pre-sliced into 12 portions.
The firm also told BB that it is currently developing a range of whoopie pies, which it hopes to launch in January.
Pie firm emphasises MINI line
Pieminister unveiled its pieMINIster range. The trio of smaller 180g pies, aimed at smaller tummies, are available in three varieties: cheeky chick chicken, ham, peas and cheddar cheese; moo moo steak, gravy, herbs and vegetables; and mini amigo butternut squash, tomatoes, coriander, mixed beans and a hint of chilli.
Daily Bread ramps up range
Daily Bread will be bringing out a new range this month, which will incorporate a provenance and seasonality range of sandwiches, four new classic flavours and three new hot options. A total of 41 products will be added to the menu this month including paninis, wraps and croissants. The firm has also made the move from plastic to cardboard packaging on its classics range.
Butt Foods tackles tigers
Butt Foods has launched a three-strong range of tiger panini breads: plain, chilli & paprika, and Italian-style cheese & herb. They are available pre-sliced and packed in resealable bags. The firm also hinted at a move into sweet treats in the future.
Heavenly move to free-from
Heavenly Cakes displayed its new gluten-free range. The firm relaunched its website earlier in the year to give it a 1950s British look. It has expanded to 28 lines, including its new free-from products and a Christmas range. Additions include lemon meringue and very berry meringue shortbread.
Impress wraps it up
Impress Sandwiches introduced a range of grab-and-go pizza wraps, available in three flavours: breakfast; mozzarella and roasted pepper; and hot pepperoni and ham.
Natural poise for Ashbourne
Ashbourne Foods has launched a range of cereal bars, muffins and bites called Naturally Nutritious. They contain ingredients such as wholegrain and flaked oats, dried fruits, seeds and fruit juices. The firm also told BB its Sugar ’n’ Spice brand, a premium food-to-go range that features biscuits, slices, cake and cookies, will be launching nationwide in Welcome Break service stations at the end of the month.
