Global chemicals manufacturer Merck has introduced a new glitter food colourant to its popular pearl effects range.

Candurin Red Sparkle is a non-artificial, mineral-based colourant that can transform baked goods, pastries, chocolate and toppings into glamorous treats. Food manufacturers using the burgundy red colourant can safely label their own products as containing ’no artificial colours’.

It is produced in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice, according to the company, and benefits from both a light and thermal stability.

Candurin Red Sparkle is available in pack sizes of 1kg and 15kg through UK speciality chemicals distributor Azelis.
