The Mining & Pasty Festival is back for the second year running, and will take place from 6-8 September 2013.

The three-day event celebrates the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Redruth, through pasties, mining and music.

The Pasty Day, on Saturday 7 September, will be opened by TV chef and environmentalist James Strawbridge, and Marion Symonds, owner of Portreath Bakery.

There will be performances from Tex-Mex band Los Pacaminos, featuring 1980s pop sensation Paul Young. The festival will also feature an Oggy Treasure Trail, Cornish food and drink stalls, and the chance to make your own pasty.

The Mining & Pasty Festival is organised by a community working group led by Redruth Town Council.
